Naked For Satan: Pinxtos and Vodkatinis for all

Been here 3 times before, and each time I’d enjoyed it. Located near the Smith and Johnson St junction, this bar is one of the best I’d been to in the area. They serve a large variety of vodkas, wines, beers and ciders.

Also available are Pinxtos, which are tapas held together by a toothpick – great little bites to have while enjoying your drink, but also large enough to have as your lunch or dinner – if you have enough of them! At $2 each ($1 Mon-Wed), most people are probably quite comfortably full after about 7-8 Pinxtos, hence this is definitely a cheap eat!
The Pinxtos are laid across the large bar, and it’s self serve – with their honesty system, you simply hand in all your tooth picks and pay at the bar when you’re done. Hot Pinxtos are also on offer throughout the night – my favourite was a cheesy potato one I ate even after I was full...it was pure yumminess on a toothpick...
There were a lot of vegetarian options available as well, and they were just as pleasing to the palate as the meat or seafood ones...
Squid Ink Risoni & Grilled Calamari

Tortilla & Aioli

Black Eyed Bean Salad & Roasted Carrot
Pear, cream cheese, pistachios & balsamic vinegar
Capo Collo

Chorizo, Cream Cheese & Green Chilli

Octopus, Chickpea & Caperberry
On the whole, this is a great place to hang out, enjoy drinks and have small bites to eat. There’s now a rooftop bar as well – I’ve yet to go up there, as it was very cold last night...*sigh* Melbourne weather...absolutely freezing for a summer night – I had to drop by Coles around the corner and buy a pair of tights to keep warm, since I came out in my work skirt...
Anyhow, this bar is extremely popular, and gets VERY busy especially later on in the evening – so if you want to bags a table, get there early! The decor is interesting – there is a wall of nudity out the back...

Get yourself here, if you haven't already...
Ratings (based on my own experience, on this occasion):
Food – 7 / 10
Service – 7 / 10 (not really applicable, as it was mainly self service)
Value for money – 9 / 10

OVERALL CONSENSUS: 4 bags (out of 5)

P.S. Random comment – very cool toilets, with the best hand dryer I’ve ever used – way better than any Dyson Airblade...
